Kramer Tape

Waves

Kramer Master Tape is a tape saturation plugin modeled on a rare vintage ¼" tube-powered reel-to-reel machine used by Eddie Kramer at Olympic Studios in the late '60s to record iconic rock tracks. It provides comprehensive control over tape speed, bias, flux, wow & flutter, and modeled noise, plus a flexible slap & feedback delay section for adding authentic analog tape character to digital recordings.

Key Features

01Two tape speeds: 7.5 ips and 15 ips with frequency response variations
02Adjustable bias control with Nominal and Over Bias (-3 dB) settings
03Continuously variable flux control from -2 dB to extreme saturation (150–1020 nWb/m)
04Modeled noise combining tape hiss and thermal valve noise
05Wow & Flutter control (0–100, default 50) for mechanical speed/gain modulation
06Delay section with 1–500 ms time range, Slap and Feedback modes, and low-pass filter (200 Hz–16 kHz)
07Input and Repro monitoring modes for pre-tape or post-tape sound
08Mono and Stereo component versions
