As your plugin collection grows, filters become essential for staying organized. Plugin Library provides multiple ways to slice and dice your library so you can always find what you need.

Category Filters

Every plugin in our database is categorized by type. Use these built-in categories to quickly narrow down your view:

EQ
Compressor
Limiter
Reverb
Delay
Distortion
Chorus
Phaser
Synth
Sampler
Utility
Analyzer
1

Open the filter panel

Click the Filter button in the library toolbar, or use the sidebar on larger screens where filters are always visible.
2

Select categories

Click on one or more categories to filter your library. Selected filters show a checkmark and highlighted background. Your library updates instantly.
3

Combine filters

Select multiple categories to see plugins matching ANY of them (OR logic). For example, selecting "Compressor" and "Limiter" shows all your dynamics processors.

Quick filter

Click any category tag on a plugin card to instantly filter by that category. Great for exploring similar plugins.

Vendor Filters

Filter by plugin manufacturer to see all plugins from a specific vendor. The vendor list automatically includes only brands that exist in your library.

1

Expand the Vendors section

In the filter panel, click Vendors to expand the list of manufacturers.
2

Select vendors

Click on vendor names to filter. You can select multiple vendors. The number next to each vendor shows how many plugins you own from them.

Sorting by vendor count

Vendors are sorted by the number of plugins you own from them, so your most-used brands appear first.

Custom Tags

Create your own organizational system with custom tags. Tags are personal and only visible to you.

1

Add a tag to a plugin

Open any plugin's detail view and click + Add Tag. Type your tag name and press Enter. Tags are created on-the-fly.
2

Filter by tags

Your custom tags appear in the filter panel under Tags. Click any tag to filter your library.

Tag ideas:

  • go-to - Your most-used plugins
  • mixing / mastering - Stage-specific plugins
  • vocals / drums - Instrument-specific
  • cpu-heavy - Plugins to use sparingly
  • learn - Plugins you want to explore more

Combining Filters with Search

Filters and search work together. When you have filters active, search only looks within the filtered results.

Power workflow

Filter to a category first, then search within it. For example: select "Reverb" filter, then search "plate" to find all your plate reverbs.

Clearing Filters

1

Clear individual filters

Click an active filter again to deselect it, or click the X next to filter chips shown above your library.
2

Clear all filters

Click Clear All at the top of the filter panel to reset to the full library view.

Filters persist

Your filter selections persist during your session. If you're not seeing all your plugins, check if you have active filters by looking for the filter chips above your library grid.
