Welcome to Plugin Library! This guide will walk you through the essential steps to start organizing and managing your audio plugin collection. By the end, you'll have your first plugins added and know how to find them when you need them.

What You'll Learn

  • Creating your account and signing in
  • Adding your first plugins to the library
  • Using search and filters to find plugins
  • Getting recommendations from the AI assistant

Getting Started

1

Create your account

Click Sign Up on the homepage. You can sign up with your email address or use Google or GitHub for faster setup. No credit card required to get started.
2

Add your first plugin

Once you're in your library, click the + Add Plugin button. Search for a plugin you own by name or vendor. Our database includes thousands of plugins from major manufacturers like FabFilter, Waves, Soundtoys, iZotope, and more.

Keyboard shortcut

Press Cmd/Ctrl + K anywhere in the app to quickly open the Add Plugin dialog.
3

Explore your library

After adding some plugins, use the search bar to find them by name, vendor, or type. Try filtering by category (EQ, compressor, reverb, etc.) to see plugins grouped by function.
4

Ask the AI assistant

Click the AI Assistant button or press Cmd/Ctrl + J to open the assistant. Try asking something like "What's a good compressor for vocals?" and it will recommend plugins from your own collection.

Pro Tips for New Users

Import via screenshot

Have a lot of plugins? Take a screenshot of your DAW's plugin list or license manager, and our AI will automatically detect and add them. Check out the Screenshot Import guide for details.

Start with what you use most. You don't need to add every plugin you own right away. Start with your go-to plugins, and expand from there.

Add notes to plugins. Click on any plugin to add personal notes. Jot down your favorite settings, what projects you've used it on, or tips you've learned.

Use sessions for context. When working on a specific project, create a session to help the AI assistant give more relevant recommendations.

Note about AI recommendations

The AI assistant only recommends plugins from your library. It won't suggest plugins you don't own, so make sure to add your plugins first.
